 Štúrovo
is situated on the left bank of the Danube River. The city and its vicinity is
the warmest region of the Slovakia. There blow only mild winds. The rivers
Danube, Hron and Ipeľ as well as the network of water reservoirs in the
neighbourhood effect favourably the microclimate of the area. The nature of
Štúrovo lures the visitors from home and abroad by its beautiful surroundings,
microclimate and the thermal swimming pool. Close to the city is several
remarkable natural sights. During summer provides rest to the thousands of
holidaymakers one of the biggest swimming pool complex in Slovakia VADAŠ. There
is a spring of hot water – 38oC.
